Tubing near Blue Ridge Ga – a truly relaxing mountain experience

Is your family looking for a way to beat the heat but wants something different than the neighborhood or community pool?  Tubing is an experience that will truly cool you off and be quality family time as well.  Have the kids put down the video games, pack the car and come to many locations near Blue Ridge, only an hour and a half north of Atlanta.

The North Georgia Mountains offers various places to go tubing. The ones I will list are close to the Blue Ridge area.   If you have never been tubing before, it is literally a recreational activity that will appeal to the young and older crowd.  You will ride along a beautiful cool creek in an inflatable intertube and just relax.  Relaxing is something we all could use more time to do.

Check out some of these various places near Blue Ridge to enjoy.

• A Rolling Thunder River Company-20 Hughes Street McCaysville Ga. 706-492-5720
• Toccoa Valley Campground- 11481 Aska Road Blue Ridge 706-838-4317

The Toccoa River is a controlled river and the TVA releases water from the dam each day.  This release affects how slow or fast your tubing trip may be.  Ask each owner of the tubing facilities about what time may be best for you and your family depending on if you prefer slower or faster.  Each of these companies offer rides ranging from $6 to $10 and some offer two different lengths in ride time.
