Fall Arts in the Park 2012 – Blue Ridge Georgia

Blue Ridge is definitely known for it’s love of the arts.  For over 35 years, the Blue Ridge Arts Association has provided a wonderful festival in downtown called the Fall Arts in the Park.  This year is no exception!  My daughter, Allison, and her girl scout troop will be at the gates collecting the $5 entrance fee.  What a bargain to see so many beautiful designs of hundreds of talented artists!!

Each day the hours of the event will be from 10am to 5pm.  You will have to check out the children’s section, live musical performances and enjoy the National Photography Exhibit in The Art Center Gallery.  There will be so much happening on this weekend that you will not want to miss this.  This is also a peak weekend to see the beautiful leaves in the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains.

I absolutely love living in a town such as Blue Ridge that loves the arts.  There is always something creative going on around you.  The Art Association was a lot of fun for my children this summer as they enjoyed taking creative classes there.  I will be highlighting the Art Association in an article soon so that you can see even more of what they offer in this great community.

Come enjoy this fabulous festival and all the beauty and fun that comes along with fall in the mountains.  While you are here, you can check out various fun things such as the Swan Drive In or The Blue Ridge Community Theater.  Last but not least, visit some of the awesome restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge such as Whistle Stop Grille or Harvest on Main.  Whatever you decide, you will enjoy and make some more awesome mountain memories.
