Escape to the Ridges Resort & Marina – Hiawassee Georgia
The feeling of fall is definitely in the air!! People are gradually breaking out the jackets and boots…decorating for halloween, and the harvest season is beginning…Most importantly, escaping to the mountains to see the beautiful leaves and feel the awesome crisp air is high on many peoples’ priority list. The Ridges Resort and Marina located in the town of Hiawassee in the North Georgia Mountains would be a great choice to stay while enjoying your mountain visit.
The Ridges is located on the beautiful shores of the 7,200 acre Lake Chatuge. One of the greatest assets of this resort is not only the beauty surrounding you, but all the many fun activities available on site. There is a full service marina where you can rent any water “toy” or boat imaginable. Enjoy boating on the water, fishing or playing on the championship golf course. There are also multiple trails to hike, a salt water pool, a fitness center or horseback riding. Many times there are planned activities as well such as making s’mores by the awesome outdoor firepit.
You can enjoy The Oaks Restaurant that is on site as well. There is a free continental breakfast that comes with your stay. The restaurant really is interested in providing you a “farm to table” type of experience by using many local ingredients. There is a full service bar at the restaurant as well. If you choose to eat off site, there are some close restaurants as well, such as Cafe Portofino.
The resort is a place that I think would be great for a romantic getaway, a family escape with the kids, a corporate event, as well as a great wedding spot! If you are in need of scheduling an event, you would have a professional staff to help you all the way.
There are so many great events happening in the mountains this fall including the fall festival at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Call now for your reservations because it is getting booked fast.
