Another Beautiful Mountain Winery – Hightower Creek Vineyards in Hiawassee

Recently I wrote about Cartecay Vineyards located in the town of Ellijay in the North Georgia Mountains.  There is also a new winery that opened in the spring of this year. It is located further north in Hiawassee Georgia, and is called Hightower Creek Vineyards.  Both of these fabulous winery’s offer beautiful vineyards, activities to enjoy and sipping on various types of wines in their tasting rooms.  If you are visiting in the Blairsville or Hiawassee area, Hightower Creek Vineyards would be a closer winery for you to visit.  Cartecay is an excellent choice while staying in the Ellijay or Blue Ridge area. However, I think both are worth a visit if you are here for an extended vacation.

Hightower is a family owned vineyard that is open Monday through Saturday from 11 to 5 and Sunday from 12:30 to 5.  However, they are closed on Tuesdays.  They take pride in making the best wine possible with hard work from family and friends that goes into the winemaking process.  They love to have relaxing music playing while you enjoy the variety of wine they offer.

Every Saturday in October from 2 to 5, rain or shine, they will be having live music. This Saturday, come out and  listen to Tony Ford as he kicks off the “October Afternoons” by playing music from the 70’s and 80’s.  Admission is free.  I hope you enjoy your visit at the winery.  Be sure and call North Georgia Mountain Real Estate and we can set up an appointment to show you all of the property and homes for sale in the Hiawassee area while you are visiting.
