Blue Ridge Inn & Breakfast – A “Thumbs Up” Choice

Are you thinking it is time to make that mountain trip to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and activities?  There are so many great choices in accommodations from cabins to hotels to bed and breakfast inns.  Each offer different advantages to you as a guest.  If you are in the Blue Ridge area and prefer to be less than a block away from shops, restaurants and the awesome downtown area, try the Blue Ridge Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Built in the 1890′s, this beautiful 3 story, Victorian style Inn has heartpine floors as well as handcarved woodwork to take you back in time.  They have 7 fully furnished rooms with 12 foot ceilings as well as 1 suite.  What I think is great is that all the rooms are decorated according to a different theme.  Some of the themes are a rose room, the Marilyn Monroe room to a sports room.  The only negative with that, is making sure you don’t choose the rose room and your husband the sports room!!  Afterall,  I’m sure you are going on a mountain trip to have quality time together!

If you choose to stay at this inn, I know you will not be disappointed at the southern hospitality that you will receive.  If you are looking to relax and “escape” the stresses of life, I believe this can be done  in the parlor room, the front porch or the nice outside garden area.  If you are hoping to relax but also enjoy several opportunities for fun activities, check out kayaking, helicopter rides or  horseback riding before the weather gets too cold.  I hope you enjoy your stay!
