Make Plans Now – Light Up Blue Ridge – November 24th!

Can you believe it is already time to begin thinking about holiday plans?  I remember my mom always telling me the older I got, the quicker time would fly – once again, mom was right!!  Saturday, November 24th, Light up Blue Ridge will take place in the beautiful downtown area.

If you have not been able to experience this event as of yet, I would make plans to!  A total festive holiday atmosphere will fill the downtown area.  Santa and Mrs Claus will arrive on the Scenic Railway at approximately 11:15 am.  Pictures with Santa are available at the gazebo area.  If you have kids, please make sure to be there on time because the excitement on your kids face will be priceless.    The Tuba Christmas band will play beautiful music and other entertainment is scheduled throughout the day.

The annual Christmas parade will begin shortly after Santa’s arrival.  It is always fun to see the live reindeer walking with all the children representing various things in the county such as girl and boy scouts, dancing studios, karate studios and many more.  The great lighting of the tree should happen around 6pm and the stores will stay open late for shopping.  While eating your funnel cake and sipping hot chocolate, many memories will be made with your loved ones during the Christmas season.

Speaking of memories, it was in Blue Ridge, a few years ago that my family and I stood in the middle of the park surrounded by the beautiful decorations, lights and smiling faces that my husband and I looked at each other and said that Blue Ridge is where we wanted to settle down and raise our children.  We knew for years that we loved the mountains and had dreamed of living in them and raising kids in a smaller town.  After such a spectacular time at the Christmas event, time in the downtown area shopping and many hours of research and cruising the mountain countryside – we had nailed it down.  Blue Ridge was where we wanted to move.  This past May, we made it happen and couldn’t be happier.  If you have similar thoughts of relocating, which you just might after you visit, please call us at North Georgia Mountain Real Estate to help you find what is most suitable for you and your family!
