More Orchard Fun!! – Reece Apple House – Ellijay
Fall is such a fun season with all the scarecrows, pumpkins, beautiful leaves and the North Georgia Mountain orchards to pick all of those delicious apples! Reece Apple House, owned by the Reece family since 1970, is another one to add to the family bucket list if you have not yet had the opportunity to visit!
This weekend you can plan to pick Red Rome Beauty apples and Golden Delicious apples at this beautiful orchard. The kids will have a blast as they can enjoy the animals on the petting farm and see how much of a sharp shooter they are by trying to smash an apple with one of their cannons from 500 feet away!
While you are visiting, you must visit the newly remodeled bakery! You know you will have to pick up one of their famous fried apple pies, or even a sugar free pie if that will make you feel better!! I know you will thoroughly enjoy your time at this orchard and feel the friendliness of the Reece family. Come back for a summer visit in July through September to pick their famous peaches!!! After you wrap up a fun day at the orchards, plan to eat some great Bar-B-Q at Pooles in Ellijay. You will not be disappointed! Have a great time and let me know what you think of your visit!
