“Pickin on the Porch’ – Coosawatee’s General Store – Ellijay

said on May 6th, 2013 filed under: Upcoming Events

pickin on porch coosawateeJust like Blue Ridge has Pickin in the Park”, Gilmer County is host to “Pickin on the Porch” at the Coosawatee General Store in Ellijay!  You have your choice of two beautiful mountain towns to come hear some amazing music! You can come to both actually because Blue Ridge’s pickin’ takes place on Thursday nights but Ellijay’s is every 2nd and 4th Saturday from now until October. (Weather permitting) Ellijay begins the festivities at 7pm.

At this famous store, which I wrote about several months back,  you will definitely feel as if you have gone back in time!  On these Saturday nights you will hear a variety of music from bluegrass to country to rock n’ roll.  The store loves to have the firepit going to roast marshmellows and the general store deli will also have a variety of food for sale from bbq, to hot dogs and hamburgers.  There is also many arts and craft items for sale from local vendors!

Avoiding 6 Common Blairsville GA Property Seller Miscues

said on May 3rd, 2013 filed under: Real Estate, Seller Advice

Blairsville GA Home For SalePreviously, we cited three of the most common mistakes sellers make after listing their Blairsville GA Property For Sale. Here are three more:

Proper Insurance

When you have a Blairsville Georgia Home For Sale, it’s more important than ever to see that your homeowners insurance is up to date. It is highly unlikely that someone will have an accident on your premises, but the increase in the number of visitors makes it prudent to be well covered. Of course you will want to mitigate obvious potential hazards like broken glass or exposed nails — but should also have a foolproof system for making pets a non-issue during showings.

Contractual Terms

With your , it’s only natural for your primary focus to be on the bottom line: the sale price. When an offer arrives with the right number, it’s tempting to sign on the dotted line and be done with it. But there is more to a purchase offer than just the price. An offer is a contract, and as such, all its terms are equally binding. For instance, there is the matter of the closing date: sellers who accept an offer without paying enough attention to it can be left scrambling for temporary housing when that date arrives.  Read the rest of this entry »

Beautiful Mountain Views at Chancey Hill Inn & Breakfast – Hiawassee

said on May 2nd, 2013 filed under: Where To Stay

Located in the beautiful town of Hiawassee in the North Georgia Mountains, the Chancey Hill Inn Bed & Breakfast is truly a fabulous find!  If you are looking for a weekend escape you ought to treat yourself to staying in one of the five rooms offered at this quaint Towns County inn.

Innkeepers,  John and Dale Harmon completely renovated the former Mountain Memories Bed & Breakfast.  In each of these finely decorated rooms, you will see views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  There is a dining room that has three walls of windows,  a fireplace and high ceilings. There are two guest lounges at the Inn; one on the upstairs level and one downstairs on the Terrace Level. Each guest lounge has plenty of space for relaxing, game-playing, visiting, or day planning. The Terrace Level common room is home to the Inn’s library.
